Description

This sisal, woven wall basket is approximately 8" in diameter and woven by artisans in Gitarama, Rwanda.

  • Made in Rwanda
  • Approx. 8" diameter
  • Ethically & sustainably handcrafted
  • Made with sisal fibers (agave plants) & sweetgrass
  • Loop attached on back, so it's ready to hang on your wall
  • Artisans make 2-3 times what they'd earn in their local market

The women extract the sisal fibers from agave plants, then hand-dye and weave them into these beautiful works of art. The sisal is woven around sweetgrass, a fragrant grass with a subtle sweetness.

Comes with a string attached to the back so that you can hang it on the wall. Use as wall art or a contemporary table display. Combine with other baskets to make a stunning wall basket collage.

The Wood is Gorgeous

These are so cool. I bought three. One for me at work, one for me at home, and one for my grandson. It's the perfect size for your phone or your iPad. The wood is gorgeous and satiny smooth. There are these nice openings for your cords to pass through so they can charge while in use or sitting on the stand. I love, love mine.
